Floyd Veterinary Hospital at the Lake is a family-owned veterinary practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care for both large and small animals. Founded by Dr. Tyler Floyd and Dr. Abigail “Abbey” Floyd, the practice is built on a shared commitment to serving animals, supporting their owners, and strengthening the rural communities they call home.

Drs. Tyler and Abbey Floyd met while attending Mississippi State University, where they developed both their professional foundations in veterinary medicine and the partnership that would later become the heart of their practice. Together, they bring a complementary range of expertise—Dr. Tyler Floyd focuses on large animal and herd health medicine, while Dr. Abbey Floyd has a special interest in equine medicine and small animal surgery.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Tyler and Abbey are proud parents to their daughter, Eliza Lynn. Their family also includes three beloved dogs—Koda, Delta, and Bandit—who are an important part of their everyday life.

Whether in the clinic, in the field, or on a farm call, the goal remains the same: dependable care, clear communication, and a commitment to doing what is best for every patient.
